SEN Primary Teacher

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Primary Teacher to join a specialist school in the Ashford area supporting children with a wide range of needs including SEMH (Social, Emotional & Mental Health) and SCLN (Speech, Communication & Language Needs).
This role offers the opportunity to work within a nurturing environment where class sizes of approximately 10 students allow for better tailored learning. A warm & welcoming school, you’ll join a strong team of staff dedicated in helping students achieve personal and academic progress. The school is not easily accessible via public transport, so the ability to drive is ideal.

The ideal SEN Primary Teacher will:

• Be confident in adapting lessons to meet diverse SEN needs
• Create a calm and supportive classroom environment
• Use creative approaches to engage students in learning
• Work effectively with TAs, therapists, and support staff
• Demonstrate strong classroom and behaviour management skills

• Have a patient, resilient, and nurturing attitude

SEN Primary Teacher requirements:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
• Experience teaching Primary-aged children with SEN
• Ability to travel due to limited public transport access
• A valid Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
