Supply Desk are seeking a classroom Teaching Assistant for a small Primary school near Chichester

Starting from September 2026 on a long-term contract (with the potential to become permanent)

Monday- Friday8;30- 3:30

£85-£98 per day (dependent upon experience)

A small village school nestled in the Chichester countryside are seeking a teaching assistant to support a class from September. There are a number of children with additional needs within the class and ideally you would have experience working with children in a school setting.

• Ofsted rated “Good”
• Smaller than average village school
• Knowledge of SEND would be advantageous

• Hold values of community, uniqueness and acceptance   

Job Description:

• Working with small groups delivering interventions such as Reading, Maths, Literacy, Phonics, life skills and social skills
• Supporting the class teacher with preparation and class organisation
• Enhancing learning experiences by giving extra time, resources and instruction
• Full time role with the opportunity of a permanent contract

• Location: Andover Or ability to catch a train
• Start Date: September 2026
• Contract Length: Long Term – Potential to become permanent
• Hours: Full time

Individual Profile:

• Some experience working with children is desirable
• Knowledge of Social, Emotional or Mental Health needs would be valuable
• GCSE Maths and English to A- C grade
• Passionate, enthusiastic and proactive individual
• Knowledgeable about safeguarding
• Adaptable and sensitive when dealing with challenging situations
• First Aid trained or be willing to be trained
