Hours: Full-time (shift-based: morning–afternoon or afternoon–night)

Pay: £100 – £110 per day

Are you a caring and resilient individual passionate about supporting young people with additional needs?

We’re seeking Support Workers to join a specialist SEN school near the New Forest. This is a fantastic opportunity to support children and young people aged 7–19 with autism spectrum conditions and complex needs, helping them thrive socially, emotionally and academically within a structured and nurturing environment.

You will play a vital role in supporting pupils through daily routines, learning activities and life skills development, working closely with teachers and a multidisciplinary team to provide consistent, high-quality support.

• Specialist SEN school supporting pupils aged 7–19
• Focus on autism, communication needs and complex learning difficulties
• Calm, structured and supportive learning environment
• Personalised curriculum promoting independence and life skills
• Strong multidisciplinary approach (teachers, therapists, psychologists)
• Emphasis on student wellbeing, safety and individual development

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Supporting pupils with autism and complex needs in structured activities
• Promoting independence, emotional regulation and social skills
• Building positive and trusting relationships with students
• Supporting access to learning, therapy sessions and life skills programmes
• Working collaboratively with staff and professionals
• Providing calm and confident support in challenging situations
• Ensuring a safe, secure and nurturing environment at all times

What We’re Looking For:

• A patient, empathetic and nurturing approach
• Resilience and confidence in emotionally challenging situations
• Experience with SEN or additional needs (desirable)
• GCSE Maths and English (A–C) desirable
• First Aid trained or willingness to complete training
• Full UK driving licence and access to a car (essential)
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
