SEN Teaching Assistant

Teaching Personnel are looking for resilient, passionate Teaching Assistants to support SEN Schools in Leeds. You will be classroom based, supporting children with additional needs including but not limited to: ASC, ADHD, behavioural challenges. The ideal candidate will have prior experience supporting additional needs in a school setting. 

Main Duties:

• To be responsible for the safety of children by exercising adequate support and supervision
• Support the Class Teacher with resources and general classroom activities 
• Record pupil progress and behaviour
• Personal care (feeding, changing, toileting)
• Enhance the social, emotional and mental health of children

Requirements:

• Eligibility to work in the UK or be a UK resident
• Have an overseas criminal clearance or willing to apply for one
• Have a child enhanced DBS on the update service or willing to apply for one
• Previous or relevant experience working with SEND children
• Minimum of three months UK residency
• We do not accept those on skilled worker visas
• Please ensure you have references available upon request covering the last 24 months of employment

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
