SEN Teacher – Secondary Schools
Location: Portsmouth and surrounding areas
Salary: £32,916 – £51,048 per annum (dependent on experience and pay scale)
Contract Type: Full-Time and Part-Time Opportunities Available

Teaching Personnel is seeking dedicated and passionate SEN Teachers to work within Secondary SEN schools across Portsmouth and the surrounding areas.

This is a fantastic opportunity for qualified teachers who are committed to providing high-quality education for students with additional needs. You will play a key role in supporting students academically, socially, and emotionally, helping them develop the skills and confidence needed to achieve their goals.

As an SEN Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and differentiated lessons that meet the individual needs of your students while creating a positive and supportive learning environment.

Your responsibilities may include:

  • Planning and delivering tailored lessons for students with SEN

  • Adapting teaching methods and resources to support individual learning needs

  • Monitoring, assessing, and recording student progress

  • Managing classroom behaviour effectively and positively

  • Working collaboratively with support staff, SENCOs, parents, and external agencies

  • Promoting student wellbeing, independence, and personal development

We are looking for teachers who:

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification

  • Have experience working with students with SEN (desirable)

  • Demonstrate strong classroom management skills

  • Are committed to inclusive education and student achievement

  • Can build positive relationships with students, families, and colleagues

Applicants must hold a Child Workforce DBS on the Update Service or be willing to obtain one through the registration process.
