Teaching Personnel are recruiting a passionate and adaptable SEMH Teacher for autumn term cover at a local secondary school in Guisborough. You will be responsible for teaching and supporting secondary-aged students who require additional emotional and behavioural support, creating a structured, nurturing environment where students can re-engage with education and make progress both academically and personally.

The Role

  • Deliver differentiated, engaging lessons suited to SEMH learners across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 opportunities may arise)
  • Support students with emotional regulation, behaviour management, and social development
  • Manage classroom behaviour and maintain a safe, inclusive learning environment
  • Mark work and provide feedback where required

Who We're Looking For

  • Qualified Teacher (QTS or working towards) with an SEMH specialism
  • Previous experience working with SEMH students, ideally in a secondary setting
  • ECTs/NQTs are very welcome - induction hours can be completed through us
  • Confident, calm classroom presence with strong communication skills
  • Reliable, professional, and adaptable

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
