We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed professional to join our supportive secondary school team and help students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities achieve their full potential.

The Role

As a SEND Teacher, you will be responsible for:

  • Planning and delivering high-quality lessons that meet individual learning needs.
  • Developing personalised learning programmes and interventions.
  • Monitoring, assessing, and reporting on student progress.
  • Creating a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment.
  • Working closely with Teaching Assistants and wider support teams.
  • Contributing to EHCP reviews and annual review meetings.
  • Encouraging students to develop confidence, independence, and life skills.

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for a SEND Teacher who:

  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Has experience working with students with SEND within a secondary school setting.
  • Demonstrates a strong understanding of differentiated teaching strategies.
  • Has excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Is patient, resilient, and passionate about supporting young people.
  • Can create engaging learning experiences that promote student achievement.
  • Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.

Working Hours

Monday – Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
