Primary SEMH Teacher (QTS Required) - Ely Area

Location: Ely, Cambridgeshire
Start Date: 1st September 2026
Contract: Full-Time Supply Role
Duration: Until October Half Term initially, with the possibility of extending for the full term

We are currently recruiting on behalf of a specialist education setting in the Ely area for a Primary SEMH Teacher to join their team from September.

This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate and resilient teacher who thrives in a nurturing, therapeutic environment and is committed to supporting pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.

  • Deliver engaging and inclusive primary curriculum lessons to pupils with additional needs.
  • Build positive relationships that promote confidence, wellbeing and academic progress.
  • Support pupils both in the classroom and during outdoor learning activities.
  • Work collaboratively with support staff and the wider school team to create a safe and positive learning environment.
  • Use effective behaviour management strategies to help pupils achieve their full potential.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) - essential
  • Experience working with children with SEMH, SEND or additional needs is highly desirable.
  • Strong behaviour management and relationship-building skills.
  • A flexible and proactive approach to teaching.
  • A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle is essential due to the location of the school.
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
  • Monday: 8:30am - 4:30pm
  • Tuesday: 8:30am - 4:30pm
  • Wednesday: 8:30am - 4:00pm
  • Thursday: 8:30am - 4:30pm
  • Friday: 8:30am - 3:30pm
