We are seeking an experienced and passionate Primary Teacher to join a brand-new specialist education setting opening in Autumn 2026.

This is a unique opportunity to play a key role in establishing a nurturing, inclusive, and ambitious learning environment for children and young people aged 5–19 with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.

The school will provide a safe, enriching, and aspirational setting where every learner is supported to achieve their full potential.

As a Primary Teacher, you will deliver high-quality teaching and learning tailored to pupils with Autism and associated needs. You will create engaging and differentiated lessons, support individual progress, and work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to provide outstanding educational experiences.

  • Planning and delivering differentiated lessons to meet individual learning needs

  • Monitoring pupil progress and reporting to parents, carers, and senior leaders

  • Leading a subject or curriculum area and supporting colleagues where appropriate

  • Managing and supervising classroom support staff

  • Creating a positive, safe, and inclusive learning environment

  • Ensuring compliance with safeguarding, equality, and health & safety policies

We are looking for a dedicated teacher who is passionate about inclusive education and supporting pupils with additional needs.

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent

  • Experience supporting pupils with SEND, ideally Autism

  • Strong knowledge of the National Curriculum up to GCSE level

  • Excellent classroom management, planning, and assessment skills

  • Ability to remain calm, resilient, and positive in challenging situations

  • Postgraduate qualification in Autism or SEN specialism

  • Experience working within a specialist or special school setting
