TP Tutors are recruiting a maths tutor for a popular Gateshead Secondary School!

TP Tutors have an exciting opportunity to help young children achieve their academic goals within maths. The role will require someone who can create and plan exciting and engaging sessions to maximise the children’s potential in all aspects of the subject.

The Role:

  • 2 x Full days per week
  • Plan, create and teach engaging sessions.
  • Track progress and plan next steps.
  • Be aware of the child’s needs and interests and plan to this accordingly.
  • Implement behaviour strategies to ensure children are focussed.

Requirements:

  • QTS in Secondary Maths is preferred.
  • Substantial experience and knowledge of the maths National Curriculum.
  • Relevant, long term UK teaching and/or tutoring experience.
  • Ability to plan engaging small group and 1:1 sessions for pupils who have become disengaged. 

To be successful in your application, you must be able to provide evidence of this as skills and experience.

Please be aware that all applicants will be subject to background checks and will need a current Child Workforce DBS certificate that is update service registered. Teaching Personnel can support your application should this be required.
