Teaching Personnel have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Food Technician to join our Team in Lincoln. Supporting Secondary School students and opening the doors to Food Technology to assist with the learning and development in pupils day to day life. 

 

Location: East Midlands, Lincolnshire, Lincoln

Job Type: Temporary, expected to work Full-Time hours

Salary: £160 - £200 Per day

The Food Technology Teacher is responsible for planning, preparing, and delivering engaging lessons in food technology to students. They must create a conducive learning environment, assess student progress, and provide feedback. The role involves developing and implementing effective teaching strategies, maintaining accurate records, and collaborating with colleagues to enhance the curriculum.

A relevant degree in Food Technology or a related field is essential. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is required. Strong knowledge of the UK National Curriculum for Food Technology is necessary.

Demonstrated knowledge of food technology concepts and practical skills. Strong communication and interpersonal abilities. Ability to engage and motivate students. Good organisational and time management skills.

Postgraduate qualification in Education. Additional certifications in Food Safety or Nutrition.

The Food Technology Teacher will work in a school environment, following the academic calendar. The role involves regular interaction with students, parents, and colleagues. Some additional hours may be required for lesson planning and extracurricular activities.
