Are you an experienced teacher or tutor looking to make a real difference to the lives of children and young people?

TP Tutors, part of Teaching Personnel, is seeking dedicated 1:1 Tutors to provide personalised tuition to pupils across Daventry .

Tuition is delivered on a one-to-one basis in pupils' homes or school settings during school hours (Monday to Friday). We are looking for tutors who can support learners across Primary, Secondary, GCSE, Functional Skills, ESOL, and SEND.

This is a rewarding opportunity to support pupils who require additional educational provision due to gaps in learning, Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), medical needs, or alternative provision. You'll play a key role in helping pupils build confidence, re-engage with education, and achieve meaningful academic progress.

Competitive pay, depending on experience, qualifications, the pupil's needs, and the tuition assignment.

  • Deliver engaging and personalised 1:1 tuition tailored to each pupil's individual needs.
  • Teach learners across Primary, Secondary, GCSE, Functional Skills, ESOL, or SEND, depending on your experience and expertise.
  • Plan and deliver lessons that support each learner's academic progress and personal development.
  • Adapt teaching strategies and resources to meet individual learning needs.
  • Monitor pupil progress and complete session reports after each lesson.
  • Build positive relationships with pupils, families, schools, and Local Authorities.
  • Encourage pupils to develop confidence, independence, and a positive attitude towards learning.
  • A minimum of two years' UK teaching or tutoring experience.
  • Experience teaching one or more of the following:
    • Primary
    • Secondary
    • GCSE
    • Functional Skills
    • ESOL
    • SEND
  • Strong knowledge of the UK National Curriculum where appropriate.
  • Excellent communication, behaviour management, and relationship-building skills.
  • A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle, or the ability to travel reliably between tuition locations.
  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), PGCE, CELTA, DELTA, TEFL, TESOL, or another recognised teaching qualification.
  • Experience supporting pupils with SEND, including Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), ADHD, SEMH, dyslexia, and speech and language needs.
  • Experience delivering tuition in pupils' homes, schools, or alternative provision settings.
  • Knowledge of Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).
