Teaching Personnel in partnership with a secondary SEN provision based in Bamber Bridge are looking to hire an English Teacher to provide additional support for their school. The school caters for pupils aged 11-16 with SEMH additional needs, including challenging behaviours. The school aims to provide its pupils with essential life skills to equip them for further education or working life once they have left their provision. They ensure their pupils are equipped for socialisation, independence and have self-confidence and awareness. The pupils at the school are all vulnerable and require additional support particularly in social and emotional situations, this requires staff to be able to form relationships with the pupils to understand their triggers and how to ensure their needs are being met daily.
Key Information
As an English Teacher you will be required to differentiate planning and teaching to suit the needs of your pupils whilst keeping in line with the National Curriculum (2014). The school incorporate intervention sessions into their general class teaching to further promote the pupil’s progression both educationally and holistically, your role will be to ensure all support staff within the class are kept up to date with routines and planning to ensure they are able to correctly support the pupils within their care.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
