Teaching Personnel are looking for an experienced English teacher to join a partner specialist school in Ely. This school caters for students 5-16 years old, each with an Education, Health and Care plan (EHCP) for social, emotional, and mental health needs (SEMH). The school has a strong commitment to preparing young people for adulthood and focuses not only on the academic progress of its pupils, but on their independence, social and emotional skills too.

A successful candidate will:

  • Have QTS
  • Be passionate about teaching pupils with SEN
  • Have experience within SEN, particularly with SEMH
  • Be enthusiastic and caring, reliable, resilient, and committed to working as part of a team

Duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Planning and delivering English lessons across all ages in the school
  • Maintaining high standards of organisation and behaviour management in a positive learning environment
  • Assessing and monitoring the progress of students
  • Offering support and guidance to support staff in the classroom


This role will start in September and will be on a temporary basis to start with the opportunity to go permanent if it is the right fit.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
