Teaching Personnel are working closely with the headteacher of a Pupil Referral Unit in the Burnley (BB11) area. This provision provides support for secondary aged children who struggle to achieve within a mainstream setting. If you are an enthusiastic Early Career Teacher with the stamina to best meet the children’s needs, this may be the role for you!

As a Secondary teacher your main role will be to teach and practise skills, i.e., social skills and to assist the children with the academic work. It is important that a sound understanding of children’s barrier to learning and how to support children in overcoming these. It is paramount that a positive partnership with other adults in the classroom and outside agencies is created to work collaboratively.

This role is active from September 2022 on a temp to perm basis. The pay is subject to experience and availability on the scale from £90 - £110 per day. This is a full-time contract from Monday – Friday.
